A detail-oriented and enthusiastic professional, Sammy Hausman-Weiss is a recent graduate from the University of Michigan (‘24), where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. During his undergraduate career, Sammy culled meaningful experience and skill sets, furthering his passion for public policy and coalition-building.
Through his experiences as legislative intern for Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (D-TX), policy associate for a Texas-based advocacy organization, business development intern for an international cybersecurity start-up in Tel Aviv, and student analyst working for the U.S. Department of State, Sammy has honed his skills in writing, research, communication, and project management, and continues to grow his ability to adapt to the dynamic development of policy making and client services.
In his senior year at Michigan, Sammy co-founded Facts on the Ground (FOG), a student-run nonprofit committed to dispelling anti-Israel and antisemitic sentiment on college campuses by fostering education, advocacy, and constructive dialogue. As the Director of Operations & Political Advocacy, Sammy spearheaded two advocacy trips to Washington, DC, where he and other FOG members successfully lobbied 17 Members of Congress. He also led student government campaigns and played a pivotal role in fundraising and managing a budget of more than $200,000 to fund educational initiatives and produce a flagship event with nearly 10,000 in-person and virtual participants, and 2M views on social media.
Driven to pursue a career at the intersection of public policy and business, Sammy joined the Klein/Johnson Group in June 2024. Sammy is eager to support the firm’s mission and clients. A native Houstonian, Sammy now resides in Washington, D.C.
